So, Furry Vengeance have recently been announced on the line-up for Belladrum so if you're there make sure you definitely go to see them! Here's a little pre-Belladrum interview with Barry Mackay from the band.
· How long have the band been together?
- Band has been together since September 2012 although Jamie the sax player joined around April 2013.
· Where did the name Furry Vengeance come from?
- The band name came from a tv guide, Ryan hated every name we came up with apart from furry vengeance which tells you alot about Ryan :)
· For anyone who hasn’t heard the band before, what type of music would you say you play?
- The music we play I would say is indie/pop hooky melodies that hopefully make people wanna have a sing and a dance.
· So you’ve just been announced on the line-up for Belladrum, what day, stage and time are you playing so everyone knows when to come and see you?
- We are playing the seedlings stage at 1.55pm on the Friday 2nd august
· Who are you looking forward to seeing play at the festival?
- Me personally I am looking forward to Brown Bear and the Bandits, Dylan Tierney, Shutter, Toby Michaels, Megan Blyth, Jemma Tweedie, The Oxides, Red Ronson and The Whiskys..... Defiantly James too.
· What are the plans for the band after Belladrum?
- After Belladrum we have Ynot bar in Thurso as a warm up for Bfest the following day. Then we play the summer showcase followed by Cafe Drummond in Aberdeen.
· Your released the video for ‘Little Ray of Sunshine’ earlier this year, you must be happy with how many views it has got so far?
- Yeah really happy with the amount of views, we put alot of work into it and had a great team of people help. So I guess hard work pays off.
· Who do you like listening too? (Including any embarrassing music!)
- I like to listen too, Nirvana, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, Oasis, The Who, believe me this list could go on forever....... Take that ;)
· Have you got any plans to make an EP?
- Myself and Ryan are working on new music right now, but dunno about an e.p we usually just stick our stuff on soundcloud for free and let people download, give away free cds at gigs, why not eh free stuff is good.
