Bastille were so so amazing. After getting my tickets for the sold out show a few months ago, it seems like the gig came around so quickly. This could end up being a review filled with fangirling but it was such a good gig that I think it might be appropriate! I think this was definitely one of the loudest and bounciest gigs I’ve been to in a while and I love when you can hear the whole crowd singing along to every song. I didn’t trust myself to take a camera because I was worried I would drop it! My sister got a few photos of the bands though.
Starting off the night was Swiss Lips. The indie/ pop band from Manchester have a similar sound to Bastille and they were definitely a good support act to start off the night. I had already listened to the band a couple of times before the gig so it was nice to hear them live. Their songs are quite bass led which gives them a really upbeat sound that you can have a dance to!

The next support act was Dan Croll who was joined by his band. I really liked this band and I met them at the end and they were so nice! Like Swiss Lips, they also have a similar sound to Bastille. Their songs are a bit more laid back but still have a slight upbeat feel to them. They were a great band to play before Bastille came on and they’re definitely worth looking out for and going to see.
It was then time for the band that everyone had been waiting for to come on. Bastille opened their set with the title track of their album ‘Bad Blood’. This was the first gig I’ve been to in ages where pretty much every single person has sung along to every word of every song. They played quite a few of their new songs which are sounding really good and I can’t wait for their new album to be released. I think one of my definite favourites of the gig was ‘Of The Night’ which is the bands re-make of Rhythm Of The Night. I’ve been listening to this song heaps recently and it was amazing live. Dan got the whole crowd jumping and it was definitely one of those gig moments that you won’t forget. Another song I definitely won’t forget it ‘Flaws’. Dan got off the stage through this song and went for a little walk up to the top balcony part and through the crowd which was pretty cool! (I was really jealous of the people on the balcony too!) They finished their set with ‘Pompeii’ which once again was amazing and the whole crowd was bouncing.
