I haven't been to any gigs in a long time and even though it's taken me a while to get round to writing this, I've finally done a review!
Lower Than Altantis have just released their fourth album 'Lower Than Atlantis' and with this, did a HMV tour in a number of cities around the UK. For anyone who knows me, you will probably know that Lower Than Atlantis are my favourite band so when I found out they were releasing a new album I was obviously really excited! This is the fourth album released by the band following 'Far Q', 'World Record' and 'Changing Tune'. I think the new album is definitely my favourite of theirs so far although I do love them all a lot and each album has a very different sound.
I saw the band play at HMV in Glasgow where they also did a album signing. I have a lot of love for this band so when I found out that they were going to be playing 10 minutes from where I stay I couldn't wait to go! They played some of their songs from the new album including 'Here We Go' and 'English Kids In America' and also a couple of older songs 'Love Someone Else' and 'Beech Like The Tree'. I think it was definitely one of the weirdest gigs I've ever been to since it was in a shop and not a venue, all the lights were on and it was during the day but oh well, it was still amazing! I also got to meet the band again which obviously made me really happy!
So, if you haven't already I would definitely recommend buy 'Lower Than Atlantis'. I've got two copies now and I've listened to it every day since it was released!
