So I realised that this was the first gig I have been to since June which is a very long time and I've definitely missed the live music scene a lot! I was not completely sure about this gig before going as I don't normally listen to pop-punk music very often but I'm so glad I went because it was amazing and I definitely have a new love for pop-punk music now. The first band to play was Only Rivals who are from Dublin. I saw Only Rivals earlier this year when they supported All Time Low so I was looking forward to seeing them again and I definitely wasn't disappointed. The band have a slightly more rock based sound compared to the other bands who were playing which I really liked and it was a great way to open the gig. It started really early compared to normal gigs which meant the crowd wasn't completely full yet but the band still got a really good response.
The next band on was indie/ punk band Candy Hearts who are from New Jersey. I had never heard this band before the gig so I wasn't sure what to expect but I really liked their music and it sounded a lot different from other punk bands which are around right now. Their music is quite up-beat and definitely has an indie sound about it which was a nice mix in the line-up for the tour. This was the first time I had heard the band and I will definitely be listening to them again!
Next on was State Champs who are a pop punk band from Albany, New York. I've been known about this band for a while but only recently started properly listening to their music and I love it a lot so was looking forward to seeing them play. The crowd definitely started to get a lot more active when they came on and from what I could see there was lots of crowd surfing and moshing going on! State Champs are amazing live and definitely know how to work the crowd. I would definitely recommend seeing them if you get the chance. I also got to meet lead singer Derek Discanio which was nice!

After State Champs was The Story So Far who are a pop punk band from Walnut Creek, California. I had also heard of this band before the gig and used to listen to them a lot last year so it was nice to get to see the band play live. Mosh pits and crowd surfing is definitely not my thing and I know if i had been in the middle of the crowd whilst the band were on I would have got very squished! Their music had a slightly more heavier sound than the previous three bands which I really liked. If you're a pop punk music fan I would recommend seeing The Story So Far because they definitely tick all of the pop punk boxes!
Last band to play was New Found Glory who are a pop punk band from Coral Springs, Florida. Sadly I wasn't able to stay for the whole of their set but I heard the first few songs and they sounded amazing, I definitely wish I could have stayed longer. New Found Glory are a band who I hadn't heard before going to the gig but I would definitely listen to them again from what I heard!
